Based on the Intel E7221 "Copper River" chipset, the Tomcat i7221 also incorporates 3 LAN ports (two Gigabit and one 10/100 port), onboard video, Serial ATA with RAID, PCI Express and PCI-X slots, and a thermo-mechanical design that provides improved airflow for 1U rackmount configurations over competing solutions. In addition it supports TARO™ add-on modular storage cards from Tyan, further adding more options and power to the Tomcat i7221A .
